Guided fixation pin – horizontal, d1.3/L25/L17 (GS)
Guided fixation pins are used to anchor the surgical template at the initial stage of the surgical process. The pins are guided by sleeves in the surgical template and are anchored in the cortical bone in a predrilled shaft. A Guided drill for pin is used to drill the hole for the guided fixation pin. The guided fixation pin is guided transmucosally and held in place by surface friction, so it can be easily removed during the surgical procedure.
Note:
- GS = guided surgery.
